BoywithUke Vinyl Cover
This project was about a vinyl album cover for any artist of our choosing. It required the artist’s name, the record label, a barcode, the lyrics to at least one, and the credits in the inner sleeve.

I decided on BoyWithUke because he has a distinct aesthetic that I like and is a small artist, which I want more people to know about. The cover needed an original illustration while paying homage to the original copy. The end goal was to capture his signature sad message with upbeat music with the lighting and the layout of the illustration.
Process
I always start with a rough sketch of my idea. At this stage, it is usually some rough doodle of whatever is going through my brain. Then, I hop on my digital tablet to start fleshing out the design more and I make changes as I go.
For this one, I did some simple layouts of different covers.
